In preparation for an amazing summer, we are hosting an open house on Sunday, June 5th, from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. at Marietta High School. At Open House, you and your camper will have the opportunity to meet your camper's teacher and counselor, purchase camp cash, purchase a lunch pass, pick up your camper's camp t-shirt, and much more!

Health Concerns

We will have a district nurse available at Open House to assist with any questions regarding your camper's medical action plan and to receive your camper's Medical Release Form and medications that your camper will need to take during camp hours. Please note that the nurse will only be available during Open House, as we will not have a nurse present for Summer Camp.

Contact Information

Our Camp has two AMAZING site supervisors: Mr. Alex Derival and Ms. Courtney Morrel.  We are pleased to introduce them both!

Ms. Morrel has worked with Marietta City Schools in many capacities for more than 5 years. When she’s not on campus, you’ll find her reading a book or spending quality time with her family. Mr. Derival teaches Algebra I and II at Marietta High School. He has worked with the Marietta Community School as an ASP supervisor and camp counselor, before serving as a Camp supervisor for the last two years. He can’t wait to see the new experiences that this summer brings! You will see both of their friendly faces at the check in- table at our Camp Open House. ?

If you need to reach the supervisors, you are welcome to call them on the camp phone 678-231-1719. Please know that this phone is only monitored  on camp days during camp hours.

You can also reach the supervisors by emailing campsupervisors@marietta-city.k12.ga.us. If at any time you need to drop off/ pick up your student outside of the standard drop off time (7:30-9:00am) /pick up hours (4:00-6:00pm), please call the Camp to notify them in advance.  Regardless of when you arrive to drop off/ pick up your camper, please always arrive thought the Summer camp entrance Door, not the front door of Marietta High School.  There you can use the Ring doorbell, and a supervisor will come check in your camper.

Summer Camp in the City will be closed in observance of the 4th of July from July 4th-6th. During this week camp will only be opened on Thursday July 7th, and Friday July 8th. Due to the current low enrollments for this week we have changed the registration deadline for week five to June 1st! Please note registration will close on June 1st for camp the days July 7th and 8th and we will not be able to accommodate late registrations for that week.

Health and Safety

Your camper’s safety is our biggest priority.  Please read our safety and mitigation procedures carefully.

  • Masks: While Marietta City Schools will no longer require masks, your child may wear one if it is your family’s preference; however, our staff cannot enforce or require a student to wear a mask.  Please note that none of our field trip locations currently require a mask, however if their policy changes we will let you know with plenty of notice.
  • Medical Conditions, Medications, and Health Action Plans:
    • All medication must be brought to open house with the pharmacy label still on it and with the Medication Release Form. We must have this document on file in order to administer the designated medication to your camper.  If you do not plan on attending Open House, please make sure that you send in the Medication Release Form completed on the first day that your camper attends.
      • Please note that if your student attends an MCS school, you are still required to complete the Medical Release Form for camp. Medical Release Forms are only valid for one school at a time. You are also responsible for picking up your student’s medication before school ends, as we cannot transfer medication within the school district.  At the end of camp, you are responsible for picking up your student’s medication. Any medications that are left at Camp past 6:00pm on July 22 will be discarded of properly. https://www.marietta-city.org/cms/lib/GA01903590/Centricity/Shared/files/district/health/MCS_AssistancewithMedication.pdf

If applicable, please email and bring a copy of your students Medical Care Plan to the open house, and email it to the Camp Supervisor at campsupervisors@marietta-city.k12.ga.us to share any important health related information.
  • Children will spend a great deal of time outdoors at Summer Camp.  Please apply sunscreen to your child in the morning! If you would like for your student to re-apply sunscreen throughout the day, you’re welcome to send it with them; however, staff cannot assist them in putting sunscreen on.
  • Please send your child with a FULL water bottle each morning.  Hydration is key to a safe summer!

  • Drop off Hours: 7:30-9:00 a.m. Campers are encouraged to arrive during this time to ensure that they will get to participate in all activities throughout the day. However, if you need to drop off your camper outside of these hours, please call the camp phone to notify them in advance. When you arrive, you will need to go to the camp door. There you can use the Ring doorbell, and a supervisor will come to answer the door.  Please note that campers cannot be picked up and dropped off on field trip days between the hours of 8:45a.m. and 4:15 p.m.  If you would like for your camper to receive breakfast in the morning please make sure they are dropped off during drop off hours from 7:30-9:00 a.m.

Each week a new color Pickup Pass will be provided that is only valid for the current week. Anyone possessing a current Pickup Pass will be authorized to pick-up your child from camp. Please be cautious with these passes and only provide them to persons authorized to pick up your child.
    • Please complete the Authorized Pick Up Form for those authorized to pick up your camper. This form will be used to verify the identity of anyone who picks up your camper without a pick-up pass in hand. We will also use this information if we cannot reach you in the event of an emergency.
