    Get ready for a soccer-packed, action-filled Fall Break with Soccer Shots! Our camp is perfect for kids in Pre-K through 5th grade who love to run, play, and have a blast. Each day, campers will practice tons of essential soccer skills like dribbling, shooting, passing, defending, and even goalkeeping! Through fun games, exciting challenges, and real soccer play, your child will be more confident than ever in their soccer skills! We’ll have themed days that keep every session fresh and full of surprises, all while building confidence, teamwork, and character on and off the field. Our amazing, highly trained coaches bring energy, laughter, and encouragement to every drill and game, making sure every camper feels like a superstar.   • Intro to Culinary Arts: A CTAE Camp

    Get ready for a week filled with creativity, science, teamwork, and delicious hands-on learning! Join Chef Watson and Marietta High School Culinary Arts & FCCLA teams for an unforgettable Culinary STEAM Camp designed especially for young chefs. Throughout the week, campers will: Step into a real high-school culinary kitchen to learn proper knife skills, measuring, mixing, sautéing, baking, and plating. Create dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients while exploring global flavors and kid-friendly favorites. Design their own menus for a final-day showcase where families can see what they’ve learned. Work in teams just like professional kitchens, building confidence, communication, and leadership skills. STEAM Spotlight with Niarah Igidi Campers will also participate in an exciting daily STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) segment led by Niarah Igidi, aspiring future engineer. These interactive sessions connect cooking with real-world science and design, including: The chemistry of baking (why dough rises, emulsions, heat reactions) Engineering in the kitchen (equipment mechanics, kitchen layout design, and simple machines in cooking tools) Edible experiments like density jars, food-based color chromatography, crystals, and temperature reactions Art and design through plate presentation, color theory, and creative food styling Fun math challenges using fractions, proportions, and recipe conversions This blend of culinary arts and STEAM empowers campers to think critically, solve problems, and bring their creativity to life in the kitchen. Mentorship from FCCLA Student Leaders Campers will receive hands-on support from MHS FCCLA student leaders, who will assist with cooking activities, guide teamwork, and model leadership and professionalism in a real culinary environment.     Want To Get Ahead? Students: Enrich Your Executive Functioning Skills Executive functions are skills that develop from early adolescence through young adulthood. The Grit & Growth Mindset Camp provides direct instruction in the social emotional skills associated with executive functions. Specific examples of topics covered include self regulation, self awareness, perspective taking, planning & prioritizing and task initiation. The Grit & Growth Mindset Camp is a non-therapeutic approach that walks students through step by step lessons to better their social emotional skills. Equip your student with a set of tools they can use for long term success!   • Quadratum Drumming Camp

    Students learn drumming fundamentals including stick, hand, and bell techniques through playing iconic Ghanaian drum dances of the Ewe, Ga, and Akan peoples on authentic instruments carved in Ghana by master builders. In so doing, they will engage in true team musicking, where every position crucially contributes to the whole. The unique songs that accompany each piece enliven the experience. We are looking for enthusiastic students -- no previous musical experience is necessary. This camp is offered by the directors of Quadratum: Brian Parks and Catherine Moulton Brian Parks holds advanced degrees in Composition and Ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University and is a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists. He has studied Ghanaian music with Abraham Adzenyah, John Dankwa, and Elikem Nyamuame since 2007. He has performed Ghanaian music at Yale University, the National Meeting of the Society of Ethnomusicology, and IRCAM in Paris among other sites. He co-founded Quadratum in 2019 to provide a pedagogical space for young people to learn comprehensive self-sufficiency through rigorous musics, unique expeditions, and direct-impact community service. Catherine Moulton is a pedagogue and choralist working in Marietta. Her teaching strives to embody music theoretic principles through vocal technique, stagecraft, confident self-presentation, and the building of other critical life skills. Currently, she runs an active private lesson studio and co-directs Quadratum alongside Brian Parks. She has been studying Ghanaian drumming since 2017.
