Unlock your creativity and bring your ideas to life in this interactive, week-long CAD workshop, where you'll learn the essentials of 3D design and model building to create a unique piece of furniture! Designed especially for middle schoolers, this workshop will guide you from concept to construction, blending design principles with practical engineering skills.Over the course of the week, your student will:• Learn CAD Basics: Dive into the world of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with easy-to-use software. Learn to sketch, shape, and refine your ideas in 3D.• Explore Furniture Design: Study real-world furniture pieces and explore concepts like form, function, balance, and ergonomics.• Build a Mini Model: Using your CAD designs as a blueprint, craft a mini model of your furniture using sustainable materials.• Develop Problem-Solving Skills: Tackle design challenges along the way, learning to think like a designer and engineer.By the end of the week, you’ll walk away with a one-of-a-kind model furniture piece and a strong foundation in CAD, 3D modeling, and design-thinking skills to support future creative projects.
