Special event classes to learn something new, enjoy time with friends, and have a lot of fun!
This 5-day summer camp will introduce students to the fascinating world of electronics and microcontroller programming. Through a series of fun, hands-on projects, students will learn the basics of electronics, how to build simple circuits, and how to program the Arduino microcontroller to perform a useful function or solve a problem. By the end of the camp, students will have developed basic skills in circuitry, coding, and problem-solving, and will have created a simple project that they can take with them afterwards to continue their learning.
Topics covered will include: Understand Basic Electronics: What are electrons, current, voltage, and resistance?Explore Circuit Components: Learn about resistors, capacitors, LEDs, sensors, and motors.Build Simple Circuits: Create working circuits using a breadboard, wires, and electronic components. Write simple logic coding to solve problems step-by-step.
This camp is taught by a CTAE teacher at Marietta High School.
