    Harrison High School is located at 4500 Due West Road, Kennesaw, GA 30152 COST: $499 Course Breakdown: 30-Hours of Classroom Instruction 6-Hours of In-Car Instruction using one of our driver training vehicles ADAP (Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program) This course meets Joshua's Law requirements, and qualifies families for a minimum 10% reduction in their insurance premiums. (Georgia Code O.C.G.A. 33-9-42). After completing the 30-hour class, students with a learner’s permit on file, are placed in queue for assignment to a driver training instructor.   • MCDE 6-Hour In-Car Instruction Program

    BEHIND-THE-WHEEL INSTRUCTION IS CURRENTLY CONDUCTED FROM TWO LOCATIONS: MARIETTA SIXTH GRADE ACADEMY LOCATED AT 340 AVIATION RD, MARIETTA, 30060 BARTOW COLLEGE & CAREER ACADEMY LOCATED AT 738 GRASSDALE RD, CARTERSVILLE, 30121 COST: $389 The 6-hour Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) instruction is one-on-one instruction that occurs on the road in an a Driver's Ed DDS-approved vehicle. This instruction is intended for students who possess positive and responsible behaviors, the ability to follow directions, a strong awareness of their surroundings, intact sensory acuity and have had some experience driving a vehicle. As safety and competence dictates, BTW instruction includes Range Work, Residential Driving and Expressway Driving. (If student's instructor determines student is lacking proficiency behind-the-wheel, not all components may be covered to ensure safety to student, instructor and other drivers on road ways. Extra driving sessions are available for purchase as needed.) All Driver’s Education cars are fully insured and equipped with an instructor side brake, extra mirrors and meet the requirements of the GA Department of Driver Services. BTW instruction consists of three 2-hour sessions that are scheduled at the discretion of the student's assigned instructor based on instructor's and student's availability. Upon successful completion of the BTW instruction, student will receive a 6-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Driver's Ed Certificate of Completion. Certificate will be sent to parent/guardian via email. Cancelled driving appointments result in lost instructional hours and delay the assignment of the remaining students. Driving appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 rescheduling fee.
  • MCDE Driver's License Test Appointments

    DRIVER'S LICENSE TEST REGISTRATION Cost: $95 Marietta/Cobb Driver's Ed (MCDE) is certified to offer the Driver's License Test to teens and adults in need of obtaining their Driver's License. (Certain instructional requirements may apply based on age.) MCDE's Driver's License Test is a personalized experience that takes approximately one hour to complete. Our Test appointment includes both a pre and post conference with the Examiner and the On-The-Road Test done in an MCDE vehicle. Upon successful completion of the Driver's License Test, the tester will be given a certificate to take with them to any Driver Services location to have the actual license issued. All Tests are conducted from the MCDE business office located at 368 Wright St, Marietta, GA 30064. Notes: Purchase is nonrefundable and non transferable. Registration is for the Test day only. Upon receipt of registration and required documentation, MCDE will assign your student to a specific time slot on the requested day. Road Tests are scheduled in hourly increments between 8:30am - 3:30pm and are assigned first-come, first-served in time-order of available slots. The student must achieve a minimum score of 75% to pass. There is an additional fee of $30 if an appointment is rescheduled for any reason, at any time. Depending on age of tester, the purchaser of the test is required to submit Test Eligibility documentation within 24 hours of registration. If documentation is not received by allotted timeframe, MCDE may be required to change the tester's registration date to a future time when the documentation has been received and can be verified. Marietta/Cobb Driver's Ed instructors, Examiners, staff and/or representatives cannot at any time, imply, indicate or guarantee that a student will receive a passing score on the Driver's License Test.
  • MCDE Extra Driving Services

    We offer two types of Extra Driving services: These services are intended to provide students who are working on their in-car driving skills further opportunity to drive one-on-one with a professional Driver's Ed Instructor. test test POTENTIAL DISCOUNT!! If you or your student is ready and eligible to take the Driver's License Test, you may be eligible to receive a $25 discount on the purchase of the Test Prep session. To receive this discount, you must FIRST register for an upcoming Driver's License Test with our program. Upon registering for the Driver's License Test, the Test Prep course discount code will be disclosed in the receipt from the purchase of the Driver's License Test. (NOTE: Students ages 16 & 17 must meet certain qualifications to register for the Driver's License Test. Those qualifications can be found here.) Policy Information Student must be 15 years old or older to participate. Student must have a minimum of 20 hours of in-car instruction before participating in the "Extra Behind-the-Wheel Instructional Session". Student must have a minimum of 40 hours of in-car instruction before participating in the "Driver's License Test Prep" session. Requests for session(s) must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the date driving session is requested or the date of the Driver's License Test. All payments for driving services must be processed online prior to scheduling session(s) with an instructor Student must have their Learner's Permit with them during the Driver's License Prep or Extra Behind-the-Wheel Instructional session otherwise, the appointment(s) will be cancelled and result in a $50 Rescheduling fee.   • Online Course Option / Student Paced

    30/6 Online Course Driving Package COST: $479 The online course must be completed within 90 days!!! This course package consists of 30 hours of online instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. The 30-hour online class meets the requirements for Joshua’s Law and qualifies for the Teen Driver’s Education insurance discount. (Georgia Code O.C.G.A. 33-9-42). The 30-hour online class is intended to teach students fundamental theories and practices associated with driving a motor vehicle including, but not limited to, the rules and regulations of the road, safe driving practices, proper attitudes, pedestrian safety and driver responsibility, defensive driving, car care/maintenance and car handling procedures. As the online course is self-taught and the student can work at his/her own pace and availability ensuring he/she is truly understanding and internalizing the information. The student will have 90 days to complete the course and will not be confined to a predetermined schedule. Please know that students must be able to work independently and have strong attention, self-direction and test taking skills as well as, possess academic readiness and an understanding of technology to successfully complete this class. Students MUST successfully pass all Unit Tests and the Final Exam within three attempts to receive a passing score for this class. If the student fails to pass a Unit Test or the Final Exam, within the allotted attempts, he/she will fail the class. If the student fails the online class, he/she may purchase a new 30-hour online class, or attend a future in-person class, at a discounted rate for a second attempt to successfully complete the 30-hour class. NOTE: THIS COURSE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ALCOHOL & DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM (ADAP). If your student is in need of completing the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Program (ADAP), he/she can access and complete the 2-hour ADAP course online, free-of-charge, at https://dds.georgia.gov/adap. The ADAP course is required for all teens ages 15-17 who are seeking a driver's license. (You may schedule your student's in-car lessons, if your student's behind-the-wheel instructor contacts you to schedule lessons prior to your student's completion of the online course. The two instructional components work hand-in-hand, one is not a pre-requisite to the other.) Upon successful completion of the 30-hour online class, the student will receive a 30-hour Driver Education Classroom Completion Certificate via email from the online course account. Upon completion of the 6-hour BTW instruction, the student will receive a 6-hour BTW Completion Certificate via email from our office staff.     POP-UP Enrichment Classes are one-time special event classes designed to learn a little something new while having a whole lot of fun! Most pop-up classes are only offered once or twice a year. Check back often for fun new classes each season. Adult Classes: Charcuterie, crafting, retirement planning...Grab your friends and join us for one of these evening or weekend events! Family Classes: These classes are intended for children to attend with their favorite grown ups (calling all Grand Pals!). CharBOOterie, Cookie Decorating, Ornament Design and more! Kids Classes: Some classes are a kids only zone (Secret Alert! We love to make holiday gifts and keepsakes for our parents), Drop off your child for fun class while you catch up on errands, holiday shopping, or a trip to the coffee shop!

  • Summer Camp 2025

    Summer Camp in the City is a fun, recreational summer camp for children ages 4-12 (please see age requirement information below). Campers will enjoy field trips, camp carnivals, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and special events. The camp runs from June 2 to July 17, 2025, with daily hours from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Cost: The cost is $250 per week per child. A $50 non-refundable deposit per week is required at the time of registration. This deposit will NOT be refunded if you cancel your registration. You may either pay the full amount upfront at registration or set up autopay, which will charge the remaining balance on the Tuesday before the camp week. Important Dates: Tuition for the first week of camp is due before April 15, 2025. Refund Policy: We would love if all students who registered for camp would be able to attend however, we do understand if things come up and your student is no longer able to attend. If your student is no longer able to attend camp after registration, please note that the $50 deposit is non-refundable. Additionally, if you cancel after paying the full tuition, you will receive a 50% refund. Camp Hours: Camp is open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Late Pick-up Fees: A fee of $2 per minute will be charged for late pick-ups after 5:30 PM. After three late pick-ups, your child may be removed from the program. Late fees will be charged to the card on file. Age Requirement: Campers must be 5 years old by September 1, 2025 to attend. Changes for Summer 2025: No Drop-ins: To ensure proper planning and safety, all campers must be registered by the Tuesday prior to the camp week. Please register early to secure your spot!   • Youth Enrichment Classes

    We are excited to offer Fall and Spring 12-Week Enrichment Courses after school at many of our Elementary Schools. Registration opens in late July for the Fall Term and late December for the Spring Term. We also offer Enrichment Camps during Conference Week in October as well as one day Pop-Up Enrichment Camps in December and Saturdays throughout the year. Check back here for new course offerings! To reduce the financial burden for families, payment for the first half of tuition is due at the time of registration, and payment for the remaining balance will automatically deduct via auto-pay during the sixth week of the class.
