    The mission of the Before & After School Program is to provide a safe, fun environment for children to participate in enrichment and recreational activities. These programs are designed for families in need of early morning and/or late afternoon supervised activities. Our programs include breakfast, snack, supervised homework completion, arts & crafts, enrichment, fun group challenges and more! Children cannot attend ASP/BSP until you receive an email that your contract has been approved. Approval process will take a minimum of 24 hours to process. Registration Fees (once per year, per child) BSP: $15 ASP: $20 BSP Daily Rates Early Learning Center (Pre-K): $5 MCAA & MSGA: $6 All other Elementary Schools: $5 ASP Daily Rates Early Learning Center (Pre-K): $10 MCAA & MSGA: $9 All other Elementary Schools: $10 NEW! BILLING INFORMATION You will be asked to provide a credit card on file upon registration. Your account will only be charged for days in which your child attends BSP/ASP and you will receive an emailed invoice on the first business day after the 1st and 15th of each month. Payment is due five business days after the date of the invoice. All accounts are set up as "auto-pay" and your card will be charged on the day the invoice is due*. *You can always make a payment using a different method of payment anytime prior to the due date to avoid an automatic charge to your card on file.

    Marietta/Cobb Driver’s Education provides high quality, low cost instruction for teen drivers with the goal of saving lives. Programs are open to all teens ages 15 - 19, regardless of school or county affiliation.
  • MCDE 6-Hour In-Car Instruction Program

    BEHIND-THE-WHEEL INSTRUCTION IS CURRENTLY CONDUCTED FROM TWO LOCATIONS: MARIETTA SIXTH GRADE ACADEMY LOCATED AT 340 AVIATION RD, MARIETTA, 30060 BARTOW COLLEGE & CAREER ACADEMY LOCATED AT 738 GRASSDALE RD, CARTERSVILLE, 30121 COST: $389 The 6-hour Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) instruction is one-on-one instruction that occurs on the road in an a Driver's Ed DDS-approved vehicle. This instruction is intended for students who possess positive and responsible behaviors, the ability to follow directions, a strong awareness of their surroundings, intact sensory acuity and have had some experience driving a vehicle. As safety and competence dictates, BTW instruction includes Range Work, Residential Driving and Expressway Driving. (If student's instructor determines student is lacking proficiency behind-the-wheel, not all components may be covered to ensure safety to student, instructor and other drivers on road ways. Extra driving sessions are available for purchase as needed.) All Driver’s Education cars are fully insured and equipped with an instructor side brake, extra mirrors and meet the requirements of the GA Department of Driver Services. BTW instruction consists of three 2-hour sessions that are scheduled at the discretion of the student's assigned instructor based on instructor's and student's availability. Upon successful completion of the BTW instruction, student will receive a 6-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Driver's Ed Certificate of Completion. Certificate will be sent to parent/guardian via email. Cancelled driving appointments result in lost instructional hours and delay the assignment of the remaining students. Driving appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 rescheduling fee.
  • MCDE Driver's License Test Appointments

    DRIVER'S LICENSE TEST REGISTRATION Cost: $95 Marietta/Cobb Driver's Ed (MCDE) is certified to offer the Driver's License Test to teens and adults in need of obtaining their Driver's License. (Certain instructional requirements may apply based on age.) MCDE's Driver's License Test is a personalized experience that takes approximately one hour to complete. Our Test appointment includes both a pre and post conference with the Examiner and the On-The-Road Test done in an MCDE vehicle. Upon successful completion of the Driver's License Test, the tester will be given a certificate to take with them to any Driver Services location to have the actual license issued. All Tests are conducted from the MCDE business office located at 368 Wright St, Marietta, GA 30064. Notes: Purchase is nonrefundable and non transferable. Registration is for the Test day only. Upon receipt of registration and required documentation, MCDE will assign your student to a specific time slot on the requested day. Road Tests are scheduled in hourly increments between 8:30am - 3:30pm and are assigned first-come, first-served in time-order of available slots. The student must achieve a minimum score of 75% to pass. There is an additional fee of $30 if an appointment is rescheduled for any reason, at any time. Depending on age of tester, the purchaser of the test is required to submit Test Eligibility documentation within 24 hours of registration. If documentation is not received by allotted timeframe, MCDE may be required to change the tester's registration date to a future time when the documentation has been received and can be verified. Marietta/Cobb Driver's Ed instructors, Examiners, staff and/or representatives cannot at any time, imply, indicate or guarantee that a student will receive a passing score on the Driver's License Test.
  • MCDE Extra Driving Services

    We offer two types of Extra Driving services: These services are intended to provide students who have started working on their in-car driving skills further opportunity to drive one-on-one with a professional Driver's Ed Instructor. POTENTIAL DISCOUNT!! If your student has taken the 6-hour Behind-the-Wheel course with our program, he/she may be eligible to receive a $25 discount on the purchase of the Test Prep session. To receive this discount, you must FIRST register your student for an upcoming Driver's License Test with our program. (NOTE: Your student is required to meet certain qualifications to register for the Driver's License Test that can be found here. Upon registering for the Driver's License Test, the Test Prep course discount code will be disclosed in the receipt from the purchase of the Driver's License Test.) Policy Information Student must be between the ages of 15 – 19. Student must have a minimum of 20 hours of in-car instruction before participating in the "Extra Behind-the-Wheel Instructional Session". Student must have a minimum of 40 hours of in-car instruction before participating in the "Driver's License Test Prep" session. Requests for session(s) must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the date driving session is requested or the date of the Driver's License Test. All payments for driving services must be processed online prior to scheduling session(s) with an instructor Student must have their permit with them during the Driver's License Prep or Extra Behind-the-Wheel Instructional session otherwise, the appointment(s) will be cancelled and result in a $50 Rescheduling fee. Cancelled driving appointments result in lost instructional time and delay the assignment of the remaining students. Driving appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 rescheduling fee. Neither the Test Prep session or the Extra Driving session(s) will lead to a Driver's Ed completion certificate. If your student is in need of a Driver's Ed completion certificate, please purchase either the 30/6 program or the 6-hour Behind-the-Wheel program.   • Summer Camp 2022

    Summer Camp in the City is a fun recreational program for students ages 4-12. Campers enjoy field trips, camp carnivals, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and special events. This summer, Summer Camp will run from June 6 to July 22, 2021. Daily camp hours are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Registration Fee: NEW! We no longer have an upfront registration fee for Summer Camp! The registration fee has been included in each week's tuition rate allowing families to only pay the registration costs for the weeks they plan to attend. Cost: $185 a week (each additional sibling is $165 a week). Payment must be made by the Wednesday in advance for the week. You may register for each week and choose to pay when you register, or auto-pay the Wednesday before the week of camp. We know this is new. Call us if you have questions! Tuition for the first week of camp in due before May 1st. Refunds: We strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure a space each week at camp. We are unable to issue a refund for camp. Hours: Camp is open from 7:30am to 6:00** pm Monday through Friday. **Late pick-up fees: $2 per minute after 6:00 pm Campers must be four years old before June 1 to attend. Lunch: Your child may bring a lunch from home or purchase a weekly Lunch Pass. When registering your student, you have two options to pick from: Tuition only or Tuition+ Lunch Pass. The choice must be made at the time of registering your student. Due to Covid mitigation efforts, cash will not be accepted for lunch at camp. Changes for Summer 2022: Camp for all students will be held at Marietta High School! In an effort to help us better plan and staff our camp, and for the safety of our children, we will now require all campers to register by the Wednesday of each week for the following week. (No drop-ins). We really don't want you to miss camp- please register early! Weekly Field trips: We are working to plan a fun safe summer. As we continue to monitor recommendations regarding Covid, we will finalize field trip plans. As of now, we have one off-site field trip a week scheduled.     About Marietta Camp in the City 2023 Marietta Camp in the City is a fun recreational program for students ages 4-12. Daily camp hours are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Early Bird Special: If you register for week one of summer camp now, you can lock in the $185 rate for week one before the prices go up! Also, the first 50 campers that register will get a chance to go on a seak-a-peek field trip to the Georgia Aquarium! Campers must be registered by July 13th, 2022, to participate in the field trip! Cost: Take advantage of the early bird special to save the $185 rate for week one! Tution will increase August 1st, 2022! Tuition for the first week of camp in due before May 1st. Refunds: We would love if all students who registered for camp would be able to attend however, we do understand if things come up and your student is no longer able to attend. Please note there is a cancellation fee of $30 if you must cancel your registration prior to a week before that week of camp. If you cancel within one week from the start of camp, then you will be responsible for paying 50% of the balance due. Hours: Camp is open from 7:30am to 6:00** pm Monday through Friday. **Late pick-up fees: $2 per minute after 6:00 pm. The card on file will be charged the $2 per minute late pick up fee. After picking up your stduent late three times, your stdeunt will be removed from the program. ** Campers must be four years old before June 1 to attend.
