Be sure to email these items to the MCDE office by the deadline indicated on your  purchase confirmation, otherwise MCDE may be required to change the tester's registration date to a future time when the documentation has been received and verified.

Email documents to mariettacobbdriversed@marietta-city.org.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED BY MCDE

Copy of Learner's Permit

Joshua's Law    30-Hour Course Completion Cert

6-Hour Behind-The-Wheel Completion Cert

Valid Georgia Learner's Permit

All testers need to email a copy of their valid Georgia Learner's Permit to mariettacobbdriversed@marietta-city.org.

For testers ages 16 & 17, the Georgia Learner's Permit must show that it has been held for one year and one day. To see if your student has held their Permit for one year and one day, reference the Issue date of the Permit, found near the bottom right of Permit.

If the Permit does not indicate this requirement due to a reissuance of the Permit, you will need to include a Motor Vehicle Report with the copy of the student's current Permit. The Motor Vehicle Report will show the date the Permit was originally issued to the student.

To obtain a Motor Vehicle Report for your student, go to www.dds.ga.gov and set up an account for your student. You should be given the option to view the student's Motor Vehicle Report. Click this and save a copy of the Report. It does not need to be a certified copy.

If your student has not yet held the permit for one year and one day and is under the age of 18, you will need to delay scheduling his/her appointment until this requirement is met.
