This course continues the exploration of photography as a creative medium. Basic knowledge of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) and the digital camera manual settings are required pre-requisites for this class. This course will build on the basic camera instruction provided in the Intro course, focusing on shooting RAW images, shooting for creativity, setting white balance in camera and in post-processing, different file formats, as well as simple photographic lighting techniques using natural and artificial light sources. This course will also cover more in-depth post-processing techniques and tools using Lightroom and Photoshop. Students will finish this course with a basic portfolio of fully edited and properly exposed images. Students must have their own DSLR camera and are encouraged to bring their laptop. It's also recommended to have access to Photoshop and Lightroom. Don't fret if you don't have access to Photoshop or Lightroom, you'll still have loads of fun!
